Paint Horse Congress-American Royal

Walking into the American Royal arena you instantly feel a sense of excitement! Even at 12:00pm on a Thursday afternoon. People eating lunch, smiling, laughing and preparing for the next set of classes.

Only having a limited amount of time I only had the opportunity to watch the Halter  class. Even though many find this class a little mundane it was still a treat to see the strength and beauty of these horses.

It was also a great a privilege to talk with many of the riders that train at Due West Ranch. Below is a picture of all the riders:

Summer Knaus, Grayson Glennon, Clancy Glennon, Lindsey Valdiviez, Sammy Basler, Maclyn Crutchfield (not in picture).

Be looking for future blogs as Due West Ranch will take time to interview these awesome riders, and learn more about their lives and experiences of riding.

Our Future Looks Bright

This is our first blog! We wanted to create this as a way for people to connect with us, get up to date information, and make you feel that you are a part of what we're doing here at Due West Ranch.

A little about us...A family owned business with many great employees and volunteers. We have strived to build a place safe for families and the horses they love.

We board horses here (pasture or stall), give riding lessons, and also training for your horses. We have an amazing staff that you will get a chance to meet in future blogs. We would love to introduce you to many great people we are working with...People including: Mary Sharp (www.sharpehorsekc.com), Peggy Knaus (Knaus Show Horses), Ginger Stanley (Willow Ridge), Bill Basler (Due West Ranch).

This simple introduction is allowing us to say thanks to all of our supporters over the years, and to let you know that Due West Ranch is preparing to do some major things that are going to help make not only Kansas a better place, but be an inspiration to the rest of the country...
